Anyone tried the new DVD dual layers? Reports, comments?

I've had the player for over 6 months, prices on the media still haven't gotten down to sane levels. I doubt I'll burn a dual-layer disc before I burn a HD-DVD or Blueray (read: never). I waste of (thankfully not very much) money, IMO.

    Getting around SMTP server blocking...

I've got my GMail account working, but I'd like to be able to send from my other accounts (the ones I own and do business under). I will likely be living here for at least a few months and would like to be able to do business as usual. It's looking more and more like I'll just need to set up a...

I tried telling my SMTP server to listen on non-standard ports, and for outlook to send via these non-standard ports, and I'm getting the same errors... "SMTP server not responding" Thoughts?

Err...I don't know how to do this. Since I am in control of the Exchange server on the other end of the connection, I'm trying to set up other ports. We'll see how it goes.

    Getting around SMTP server blocking...

So it appears that the network I'm now on (college campus cable-modem) won't allow traffic through to external SMTP servers. I can't call them to complain as I'm not supposed to be here in the first place, and I don't have a user name for theirs for the same reason. If anyone has any suggestions...

    Hard Drive $/GB comparison

As part of a large project I'm working on, I ran some quick numbers on OEM SATA 8MB hard drives of various capacities and their current price on Newegg. If anyone can give me some space to host the images I can post the graphs, but here's the key points: Lowest $/GB: 0.544 - Maxtor 250GB...

    Moving to Eugene, Oregon

Thanks guys. I'm looking at an apartment in Monterey next week with a view of the bay 2 blocks from the ocean, and I've secured some investors for more game centers. If I can't sink my time into something I want, I may as well try to live well by other's standards.

    Review of Hybrid Lexus RX400H

From what I've read here, BEVs cost less to maintain and are therefore more cost effective to own than people realize.
