Clearly none of you live in a mild marine climate? Did you look at the average annual temps I linked above? There is no need for AC in this environment. Really. $1M+ houses around here don't have it.

The objective is to keep the cool air in. The way to do that is a) avoid air exchange with the outside and b) avoid producing heat inside.

The house insulation keeps it very comfortable so long as I'm not dumping 1000W+ into the air 24/7 during the summer. I'll just need to move some of my folding rigs to the office.

Usually custom device drivers along with preventing the machine from loading any unapproved drivers. It is a real PITA for everyone involved. You need to work somewhere pretty anal before they go that far. The only times I've done it is government work.

The humidity is normally very reasonable. Air to air heat exchangers will manage the fresh air requirements, though simply opening some windows when I get home works fine as well ;)

There are perhaps 4 houses in the city with AC. With the exception of the random temp spike, the averages are very mild. It would be a real waste most of the time.

The temp if coming back down already. Supposed to be 72F over the weekend and mid-60s next week with clouds.

They are indoors. And i have a very well insulated house without air conditioning. With it 100F outside and these pcs off, it is 74F inside when I get home. With them on it was 90+ inside.
