What file types have you picked for your pictures (JPEG Standard, TIFF)? Hmmm. I wonder how well that camera would perfom at a family event. Turn on the flash, take a few pictures, and the battery is dead. That would be annoying. However, I do like the quality of the pictures you've taken...

    Anti Virus software

I'm happy for many reasons: James' link was removed, Mercutio performed his job flawlessly - but with appropriate trepidation; everyone else enjoyed a laugh, and Coug got the software he wanted! Bartender, Lagavulin for James, and whatever everyone else wants, please server them, it is on me! BR

A beautiful new verb used by the INQ, which can be found in this article: http://www.theinquirer.net/01050219.htm ...perhaps this verb has already been used in other articles as well, and I'm just late to the game. BR

    Asus A7S333, what's the problem?

Yes Coug, you are special. :D Honestly, I haven't been too excited about any 333 boards, since the 266a roundup is priced well, reliable (comparatively), and plentiful. I did order an ASUS A7V333 yesterday. When that comes I'll give it whirl and see how things run. BR

    Simple recording setup

Tony, I don't have any experience recording through a microphone. Most of the work I've done is recording from either a cassette tape or compact disc. When recording, I've been succcessful with older PCI & ISA cards and their accompanying software. My favorite setup (because it is so easy...

I personally have not used it, hence my inquiry to the group. Purchasing the product is not an issue for me if it truly is comparable to WindowsXP. I'd begin a series of tests, if the recommendation is superb, and see how it installs on the systems I build, along with SuSE's packaged software...

    Hard disk failures

My expectations are that the drives are physically fine. First of all, your P75 system won't properly recognize a 13 GB drive if it actually gets past POST, so that is why it didn't work properly with that system. If the drives are bad, taking them from one system to the next won't make them work.
