    Who's a Daddy? Who's a Daddy?

It must be spring time, my cousin just had a baby, a friend of mine had one this morning, and my neighbor just had one.

    How much does it hurt?

Sorry Sol, the best I can do Intel-wise right now is a Northwood 2.4, but I'm sure that Tony can handle that too. And, oh my, they are ruinously expensive. I'd be embarrassed to quote for that CPU.

    How much does it hurt?

Interesting question Sol. My first impression is that the CPU has a great deal of life left in it. Granted, you've run the CPU at above-specified frequency, but you've compensated for this negative impact by cooling the CPU below normal operating temperature. Wouldn't that theoretically...

    Help - I've inherited an Apple G3

I would stick with OS9. There is no special key to enter the BIOS, when the system boots, you see the BIOS. Part of the GUI is in the BIOS, that is the beauty with Macs. Yes, the CD-ROM should be bootable.

    Exciting technology

Quite right Mercutio. An average video card with a 17 or 19 inch display causes customers to drool. A really high performing video card with a 15 inch display has little appeal.

Fairly crazy? How about wacked, tweaked, or some other new word for describing the unimaginably deranged and unbalanced. If we were all on the straight-and-narrow, I don’t think we’d be in the computer business. Tea would be a photographer, Tannin would be a museum curator, Coug would teach...

    Exciting technology

Serial ATA. I'm interested in seeing how these new devices will work as alternative products in a server environment. My second pick would be Clawhammer or is it Opteron? Either way, new technology will lower the cost of present, but satisfactorially performing, hardware.

Actually, with XP Home, you're on par with me, although my markup is a bit more. With XP Professional I think you come out a bit less after monetary conversion, as I sell it for $180.00. Either way, the story is the same - Microsoft products are terribly overpriced. Unfortunately, I have no...

    Good low-cost speakers
