I have even done the "incorrect" anti-virus fix with NOD32 several times, and it has worked. I've received a customer's machine that was infected, downloaded and installed NOD32 on that infected machine and ran the utility. It found and cleaned all of the infected files. I can always check by...

Through my experience it has been worth it. I've had several customers with nasty virus/worm/trojan infections with NAV and MCSHIELD running and up to date. Ironically, not only were critical system files infected, but so was their anti-virus software. NOD32 is not better because it is cheap...

I have been playing around with RedHat in an attempt to create a file server. The software is pretty nice, relatively intuitive for configuring basic things, but unfortunately neither 8.0 or 9.0 worked for me. With the hardware setup that I had, 8.0 would puke during the installation. 9.0...

Users are stupid and I have proof.

I don't think this is limited to PC use Blake. None of us in this forum were born with the innate sense of operating, let alone fixing, a computer. This has more to do with what our group would consider common sense, and that would be the basic technical operation of almost anything. Parts...

Not for humans. The, er, luxury of traveling by means of a wooden crate is usually reserved for wildlife that has been, uh, voluntarily put into captivity. Humans are already in captivity, so we have the less fortunate means of traveling packed in close quarters with hundreds of other humans.
