OK, thanks. I've already deployed the velociraptor and spent more money than I intended to overall, so an SSD will have to wait until 2010. The main user is upgrading from a notebook, so anything will seem rather fast. ;)

Lately I use the 8GB Sansa Clip+, which also has a micro SDHC slot. It's quite small/light and I tested the battery to last >12 hours. That's good enough for almost all single-leg flights. For $60 it is justifiably disposable in a couple of years.

There was a painting mishap around autumn, maybe October. It only seemed like forever. The skin had to regrow before the natural color was restored. :colors:

We use some Altiris thingie at work. I don't think it is global, only a regional 700-1000 user system.

If I have the PC boot from the XP64 then I can choose either that or XP32 at boot, but if I do it the other way the XP64 never boots. I still don't get it. Of course now I wiped the X25-E and moved it to my luggage. Today I have only the X25-M G2. What a pain since it wants to boot to the...

OK, but every day is easy for me to fix. An inexpert user would have to be talked through the procedure. I was thinking about buying the 30GB one on sale a couple of weeks ago, but opted against it. Maybe I will revist the SSDs in the Junetime.

I tried Win 7 on a new E7200 (@3.50GHz) system with 4GB, velociraptor and no video card. It seemed to be OK, excpet for messing up the hard drives. I would think that a modern video card would be better than G45.
