Intel core i7 975 extreme $95 @ amazon [update deal is dead]

The low-priced CPU must be a typo. The mouse is $57.20. Perhaps there is a rogue with access to the site.

Opera 10.5: a PR disaster in progress

Happy Days? That was a crap show from the start. I watched maybe two episodes in '74.

How much money is there in browsers? Perhaps there are not enough efforts to improve them.

What does that mean for external devices that format the drives themselves, e.g., Nexto, Hyperdrive, etc.?

I really don't know. You can check that photo attachment for just the current Canon gear and add a lens or two. I have other cameras, lenses, flashes, tripods, etc. older than you are. ;)

    >500GB Drives

Interesting, but it is not really enough and has the same formatting issue. The question is whether all future drives will be that type.

    iPhone syndrome

Does 4G sound any better? It is annoying that the sound quality of cell phones becomes increasingly awful as signal decreases and is never quite right. After ten minutes I have a headache from listening to them.

It might fit in the empty space, but I'm not about to try it yet. Let's see if there are larger 9.5 mm drives by July-August.

99.99999% of everything on the internet is crap. 64 bits does nothing to improve it. I accept that there is some purpose to somebody wanting a 128-bit or 256-bit internet eventually and that it is a livelihood for the engineers, etc., but count me out.

Aspartame is the sweetener in the bottles I receive. I can't handle all that sugar unless I am working hard outdoors. Sometimes I imbibe soft drinks that contain caffeine. I don't usually notice the difference.

I tried the parachute software, but it was not necessary. All the same settings can be accessed through the front panel switches. It might be more useful in a remote location. The OS control is enough for me.

SSDs - State of the Product?

LSISSS6200 is rather faster than that with all slots populated. I'm afraid it will be too expensive for me.

The odds of losing data are inversely proportional to the number and proximity of backups. ;)
  48. LunarMist

SSDs - State of the Product?

Yes. I was thinking that the LSISSS6200 is more of an enterprise product since the individual cards are removable. It looks more compact as well.
