I have no advancing format drives to test my controller with, but will try a WD when it is for sale. I wonder how much time will elapse between the availability of 5400 vs 7200 RPM drives.
Then it should not be a problem if drives are used singly. Perhaps the manufacturers will provide a firmware to align drives/partitions created with the RAD.
Why is it amazing? Flash memory manufacturing processes do not continually change. It is a stepwise progression. Max capacity is not really the issue. Several TB of layers will fit in a 2.5" drive if one is willing to pay.
So far the single SSD is not losing data. They are both connected, but one drive letter is removed. ;) I could try the other one for a few days. Would it help to secure erase the Cosair drives once in a while?
TI 2009 will not restore TI 2010 TIBs, but one can hope that they stop the insanity.
IIRC TI 10 was 2007, TI 11 was 2008 and then they started in with the years.
I broke the array and will try one drive at a time for a few days. What else can I do? I'm not seeing anything new or better now compared to the same old StormForce, etc. SSDs.
I only need 4-5, but it is not feasible to dispose of the others.
Sometimes one lens is mounted on one body, but not usually when stored or in transit.
It's black/yellow with LEDs in the photos. Where do you put that case to fit the decor? Maybe it would attract insects in the great outdoors. :D
There should be a 100% black version without LEDs.
I don't have that much time to wait around and no interest in any 12MP bodies. I'll pick up a D7000 in a month or so to use more of my Nikon stuff, but
My SandStorm RAID 0 is acting up. Sometimes it is not recognized at boot and then some files are corrupted next time. It is fine for days if not restarted.
Where? The benchmarks from quick searches show up to 150 MB/sec. sustained on the outer tracks, dropping below 80 on the inside tracks. Of course that is excellent for a 5400 RPM drive. Results of 280 MB/sec. must be affected by cache.
I have a few HDS1541UI and numerous HD203WI drives. Although the latter are 2TB drives the specs are about the same for the 1.5TB version. I don't think there is much difference between the F2 and F3 in practical use. HDTach results also indicate that transfer rates are similar. The altitude...
