I have a CL USB sound "card". I never bothered to load any drivers for it, but used the MS default drivers instead, and it worked fine.

So I got the RMA number for the RAM. They prefer I send in both sticks. So, I guess it's a good thing I bought new yesterday from Newegg since my PC won't run on hopes and dreams with no memory. I guess I'll put the replacement sticks in my HTPC when it comes back.

I never bought into the idea of buying super high end RAM either. But, I did pay a little extra for 4-4-4-12 DDR2-800.

It looks like there's no reason to buy PC2-8500 (1066MHz) stuff from a performance standpoint, so I guess it's just more PC2-6400 (800MHz) RAM. Now to do some RAM shopping. *sigh*

I'm renting from Netflix. I stopped buying DVDs several years ago. I bought a few HD-DVDs in the various closeouts for about $5 each. I've bought a few Blu-Ray discs, but have tried to be very picky about what movies I'm buying, and not pay more than ~$10 each for them.

All accounts so far that I've seen indicate that die firmenwre has solvered teh 1.5's probelmos.

The 5D MkII certainly puts Nikon's D90 video capability to shame.

There is a firmware update for them, so I'm not too worried about it. I have mostly Seagate drives in use right now with a few WD stragglers, and two Samsung. BTW, I received 3 SD17 drives in a bright pink box.

I got 3 1.5TB Seagate drives from TigerDirect for about ~$103 shipped each using the 15% live.com cashback.

I hope it doesn't suck like the Sony that uses the same sensor...

What about putting a much larger TV further away? Here's my 24" vs. my 52" The wide angle of the camera exagerated the size difference between them a bit... From where I'm sitting they take up about the same FOV.

One more thing... How did you determine that the LA22A450 has a MVA panel? It does not have a 178 / 178 degree viewing angle which would be characteristic of a non TN panel.

Can't you use the Nero Vision application?

Why not a 1920x1200 24" or 26" non TN panel? They can't be much if any bigger than the 22" Samsung TV.

It looks pretty lame to my IMHO.
