There are still phones with replaceable batteries.

Your internet is better than mine. Most likely I'll not ever use 10 unless it is on a corporate computer. I hope they will be set to update only on some fixed schedule and not when remote.

I want to buy a new car

Yeah that makes sense. I think car dealers are trying to sell us on the LED headlights being the best thing ever and I don't buy it. This one guy wanted to take all my info for a credit application after I told him twice that financing was not an option. :arge: Then they don't even know the...

Next time slow down, look around and choose maybe 5 vehicles to photograph. I've had a number of T-birds, though mainly FE powered, not from the Y block era.

I think it's time to buy a few 8.2 copies. Maybe eventually 11 will be better or at least the degenerax of 10 better understood.

Is that really a 55 T-Bird? It shouldn't have portholes. :smack:

Is this 4K monitor any good? What would I need for a video card in a Windows 7 5930K machine or is that too old to support the new displays?

    No Shingles 6GB Drive

Yes, I have that drive also. The NAS drive has no shingles and performs well, though it is a noisy. I have no idea how the tortilla was involved. :dunno:

NX-D is fine for what it does. You may be thinking of something older when Nikon had a pay version (long gone). DPP is fine for basic conversion, but it does not support layers/masks or plugins like PS. I use the DPP and NX-D to produce TIFF files and go from there in PS. It really depends...

I want to buy a new car

No, this is for a personal car that I want to replace. Somehow I could not find the title after one of my relocations. I'm not stating the color again, but you would not be surprised. :D

Yes, and I had forgotten about the thread started back in 2014. The tortilla rate looks normal, so there are no shingles. Read speed STD graph is fine for the 5700 RPM as well.

    Big Brother MFT

Is an MFT like this any good? I don't find many good options with color and 11x17' capability. The device needs to be able to make enlarged copies in standalone mode. The large format laser types I've seen are huge, very expensive, and for office use only.

    question WD60EZRX or Others?

I finally purchased some of the 6TB WD drives to replace the Seagate backup drives, which will be used as primaries to replace some olden 4TB 7200K Hitachis. From what I can determine, the WD drives do not have the shingles. :)

I want to buy a new car

A full-sized sedan with hybrid power can achieve ~40/40 mpg, so I'm not seeing the Diesel as that attractive. Of the six vehicles I'm considering, not one is available with a Diesel yet four have hybrids. Meanwhile the Diesel engines are still noisier than gas engines and what is with the...

Do the WD Green 6TB WD60EZRX drives use the stupid shit on the shingles technology that slows down the writing to a crawl every few minutes? I want to buy some of them or other ~5400 RPM, non-shingles drives for frequent backup use. Thanks.

    dSLR thread

You are putting the long lens on the DX body and the wide or normal zooms on the FX body, right? The 24-120 is OK for general use, though it's not nearly as good as the 24-70/2.8 non-VR. If you are only using the DX body, the 16-85 is quite good.

For determining reach it is better to simply use the sensel pitch (µm) rather than areal density. For example a 400mm lens on a camera with a 4µm sensor will provide the same reach as a 600mm lens on a camera with a 6µm sensor. Of course the larger ~6µm sensor will theoretically capture 2.25x...
