    Holy Hurricane, Batman!

It's not that I'm not criticising their lack of planning, but I heard many people (perhaps elsewhere) go off about how this could have been prevented if adequate steps were taken. Those steps would have cost a fortune.

I agree with your argument, but I disagree that it is a problem. This was an unlikly event, the planning for would have required huge amounts of resources. If we invested all the money required to protect everyone from all the unlikely events that may befall them, then we are shooting ourselves...

That last comment made me think of a neat story. In high school, I was dating a girl that had been born to a lesbian couple (thnaks to a friend's "donation"). She was awesome and I still keep up with her parents to this day. In High School when we started dating, she had to go home and have...

I agree with JTR on this one. GWB is a massive idiot and is screwing the country at a time when we could really use some solid leadership. Just because people have done it doesn't make it a good idea. Why do you think people who live in submarines are nervous? It's a stupid idea, everyone should have a class in potential energy and why you've given gravity permission to pwn your house.

The trick to not pissing everyone off is in the subtlety.
