A friend want's me to bring some beer to China in my checked luggage. IIRC, checked luggage isn't pressurized and beers are. Am I going to have issues with exploding beverages in my bag? Does anyone forsee any issues with me carrying some (3?) beers into China?

Minimalist in this context means least amount of stuff to carry with me. When I am staying at a home that isn't my own, I end up putting all my things in a pile on my shoes next to the bed. This pile consists of shoes, clothes, my car key, my cellphone, and a moneyclip. That's it. Anything else...
