    Root Beer

A friend of mine is a hard-core root beer drinker; he has 20+ kinds stocked at his house and has tastings all the time. All ordered from distributors on the internet. I forget exactly what was his favorite but I do remember that my local brew was in the top 3. I believe it was 2nd, having a tad...

Wow, I've never heard of them making you check a laptop before. That really blows. I've also never been booted from a plane after getting on with standby. I've done more than 50 flights in the last 2 years, and I still haven't seen it all. Sweet!

    Audio-extraction tool of choice?

Wow, I guess I shouldn't ask unless I'm ready to get the whole answer. I did a double-blind listening test today and couldn't tell the difference between the latest version in "xtreme" and the "reference" version... ...that's it. I fail the audiophile test....

    JBOD array migration

;) Well it's already longer than any since Oregon, and it's coming up quickly on that. The last time I lived with a girl for this long was in 2001-2003; and before that 1997-2000. I think this one is good for at least that long.

I have a fileserver running XP Pro with a JBOD array of dynamic discs. I want to remove the OS and install Server 2003 and import the array (and all it's data). I use 3D Mark in a different way. After someone buys a $2000 gaming rig, the first thing I do is show them the latest 3D Mark test. I don't do it to show them the result, but to show them how darn pretty it is. "See? This is what you paid $2000 for." During gaming, they all turn down their...
