How much faith do I have in computers?

There are, and this is one of them. Boutique practice; cash only, ~150 patients/doctor, referrals to the best the area (incl. Stanford) has to offer, all for ~$350/mo.

How much faith do I have in computers?

What would I do if I failed an EKG? Ignore it, probably. Considering it would be informal; the equipment is in her office, she has experience with it, and no-one would mind us fooling around. Were I to look into health/life insurance at some point, it wouldn't be part of any record.

    WinXP 64-bit SP2 Released (+64bit Win2K3 Srvr)

Don't bother JoJo; unless you are running >3.5GB of RAM or 64-bit native programs, you won't notice a bit of difference.

    Office Chair

Just ordered one of these in 96"x60" with beveled edges; $280 after tax (for a piece of plastic!). 1/4" thick ought to be enough; they have a 5/16" thick one, but it is far from transparent.

    Antec P180 case

I don't care whether my drive is seeking or not. When it's time for an upgrade, performance monitor tells me what I need (the one in Vista is very nice and easy to read). The rest of the time, either it will get there eventually (watching the pot never helps) or it won't (broken, no point in...

    Office Chair

The ones designed for this purpose (IIRC) are a pergo material with a really hard coating. I too have destroyed oak flooring with a rolling chair; it's not the chair, as much as the grit that accumulates and is rolled into/around the surface.

Nope. A piece of finished hardwood floor, with the underside reinforced so it can sit on carpet and act as a chairmat.

I got a (very prompt) response from the owner of the company, saying that for my needs it would have to be two parts. Total including shipping was ~$750, and total weight was ~130lbs. The GFAF* is too low, so now I'm looking at either wood or polycarbonate. *girlfriend acceptance factor

    Something Random

Hindsight of course, but the only thing I can think of would be to seek a moment in private with the boss before the class, pointing out the issue and how it would complicate things. Not that it's likely to make anything better, but it's the only thing I can think of. She wanted to be noticed...

    Office Chair

Chairs arrived today, haven't assembled them yet. I'm really disappointed in the vinyl chair mats I got at OfficeMax. I have a medium depth carpet, and the chair "settles" quite easily and requires some effort to move again. I'm looking at these glass chair mats as a solution. I'll need a...

WRT54G and WAP54G are both great products. I've used a LOT of them and do have about 10-15% fail within 2 years. They are a cheap commodity product, what more do you want? There are aftermarket firmwares available that can up the power significantly; I've used these with success as well...

Bozo, The shoud is useless IMHO, I never leave it in. The fan in the PS tunnel is very useful if you are running multiple/hot drives. The PS fan is usually not enough to keep them below 35C (my comfort zone). Because of the limited space, I use only modular cabled PSs and SATA cables with a...

    Access 2000 database upgrade

Considering the process of upgrading is the pain, I wouldn't think of upgrading to 2003. That just means you'll have another upgrade even sooner. If you have Access 2007, this would be really easy to try out. Otherwise, I happen to have just upgraded and could take a look.
