    HP DVD100i DVD+RW drive for $339!

That's a killer price, but I want the ability to Burn DVD+R. Mercutio: DVD-R is the most compatible medium. DVD+R & DVD+RW can still be read by most standalond DVD players, but on some older models DVD-R will work when DVD+RW won't work. -Tim

Got a New Car....A Little Stoked

Sweet ride Clocker, those things are nice. And you paid what a 2 year old one would have cost. I just bought a '98 Jeep Wrangler Sahara about 3 weeks ago. It is great to drive over curbs smash through big snow piles and basically do everything that I could never do in a Mustang.

Has this site been slow recently?

Man this server is really screwed up....Site is about half alive right now. Only about 1/4 of my pings are working. Took 20 minutes to get to this point. No I didn't sit here and watch it load. I have decided that burst sucks a lot. Maybe a new provider is in order? Or at least complain a...

Tannin, What OS is the computer with the modem running? If it's 2000 then it's real easy to share your network access over TCP/IP. Simply go into network properties and enable ICS (Internet Connection Sharing). It doesn't matter what OS the other machines have on them, it should work. Or...

Is there a way to shut up Jason for a while?

There are lots of other things that would be worse to read than this. And it is obviously a hot topic, judging by the number or responses. Starting a thread similar to this has occured to me several times in the past, CougTek just went a did it. Good for him.

Is there a way to shut up Jason for a while?

I kinda agree with Santilli on this one. Jason can be very helpful. But on the other hand he can be a bit much at times. I think that he has gotten the hint from a few members asking him to subside with the news postings. It's not like they are all crap though, some of the news posts are...

    O&O Defrag and Dynamic disk.

    O&O Defrag and Dynamic disk.

The problem that I ran into with O&O is that it won't defrag my drives if they have non-standard cluster sizes. I have been using speedisk lately and it has worked perfectly.

    CDRW questions

I have never used CD-RW's before, But I burn hundreds of CD-R's and have never had one break on me unless it was subjected to hell...and these can usually be fixed with with a CD buffer. Why can't we "pm" ourselves?

Thanks for the advice Coug; I wasn't planning on selling it just yet, as I like to sell above where I bought it at (obviously). It’s not like it’s a crucial investment or anything, I only have maybe $500 in it. OTOH my dad has 1400 shares of CSCO. He always kicks himself for not selling it...
