    Mozilla Firebird is now Firefox

All this name changing business is annoying. And, as per usual in coinciding with a Mozilla release, Mozillazine is unreachable....they really should do something about the severs they use.

    Epox 8KHA+ leaky capacitors

Yesterday, while venturing into my case for unrelated reasons, a quick visual inspection led to the discovery that the same two capacitors that took out Doug's recently departed MSI K7T-Pro2A are also now bulging and leaking in the case of my K7T-Turbo. :( I certainly wasn't shocked when I...

Splash: What are you using for new systems at work?

I do. I lose them like umbrellas. I'll be on the subway when the need arises to go through my bag to find a book or pen or something like that, and in the process I inadvertaintly end up taking some of the contents out, including my handgun, and place it on the seat next to me while I continue...

    Beef

I think it even goes even beyond that. Namely, living in a pen (whether a fish, cattle, chicken etc) probably isn't too good for the animals stress. As stress increases, ability to fight off infection and to filter out impurities decreases. Overall, its pretty sickening how commoditized food...

There's a lot of great moments in that episode Tim. Monty Burns and Smithers stand at the window of Burns' office. Burns: You know, Smithers, I think I'll donate a million dollars to the local orphanage...when pigs fly! [They laugh. The pig sails across the sky before them.]...

Beagle was the ship that Charles Darwin sailed upon during his tour of the natural world many years ago. Beagle 2 is the missing (can you say ka-splat) Mars lander. Beagle 2 hails from the UK, and piggybacked its way to the red planet onboard the European Space Agency's orbiter Mars Express...

I don't know about that Blake. Some studies about the fish from Atlantic salmon farms were just in the news all of two weeks ago, and I don't think the news has been too encouraging. I have serious doubt that things are much different with the stock from fresh water farms.

Speaking of stop buttons - in Firebird (v0.7) the stop button gets greyed out after the page loads for me....I would really like it still to be available to prevent annoying animations - which as Mercutio pointed out, are often highly obnoxious. Anyone know a solution? I'm off to mozilazine...

[NEWS] - SiS releases PCI-E-capable south bridge

:D But I have to admit I share Blake's enthusiam for SIS products as of late. One thing that dissapoints, which is no different than any of the other recent chipsets - only 2 native SATA connectors. Sigh. Would someone please design a chipset with native support for 4 SATA devices!
