That is the new standard, isn't it? I know OCZ and Acer have uber-crappy customer service, but they have/had such a price/performance edge that I couldn't stay away. As others came into their space, and their products got out of the "disposable" price range, they became less and less attractive.

If you have enough RAM (and at these prices, it's silly not to), then there isn't much point worrying about page files. All my laptops have 8GB, and the workstations are 16GB or 24GB.

I really like my T410. It survived daily use in a construction zone for 6 months with a single error (fan - cleaned it out, no need to replace). Very solid machine.
