If it is legit, I wonder if the guy realizes it is structured exactly like a Nigerian bank scam. Or course, it probably is a scam, but amazing that they would bother for such a small ticket item.

The interlock on my old vw went after the first 110k. I never parked in gear, so no big deal.

Online counts. I'm just flashing back to some single-player computer games in the past where I didn't interact with anyone for several days. It's as if those days didn't exist, I may as well have been dead.

The garage is still full of stuff for the house, so the cars are in the driveway. The engine is running, but the doors are locked and alarm is still set. The main trick is to remember to set the heat/defrost to max the night before so you don't have to go out there at all.

We just finished having dinner and playing Shanghai Rummy with our neighbors. They are lovely people, we just need to excuse ourselves at the end of the night when they start talking religion. They are in their 80s, so there is no point talking them out of it.

    low-end laser printers these days?

Destroyed the printer and voided the warranty. The thing was only 3 weeks old and he had no choice but to order another one.

Some coating on the paper. It was designed for inkjets. It ended up all over the inside of the printer.

heat seaters is pretty funny, Lunar. Mine won't turn on unless there is some weight on the seat. Though I did modify the car to support remote start from the key.

A friend destroyed his very expensive color laser the other day by feeding glossy photo paper into it; the wax layer melted all over a bunch of rollers.

TDU2 is a massive f*cking disappointment. I enjoyed TDU so much, I bought it three times, and completely beat it (driving every road on the island) twice! Strangely enough, this isn't a real Thai restaurant. The owner is Chinese and the cook is Mexican. The best dishes on the menu are Chinese/American. They didn't choose to make it a Chinese restaurant because, at least in this area, Chinese = cheap.

I was at SFO, having just returned from China, when it was stolen. I was leaving for Buenos Aires the next day. And this was post-9/11. A company arranges for you to go to the office where passports are processed, and a guard walks you from desk to desk as they put it together. Kinda neat, really.

Getting a passport is an identity theft protection measure. It is much harder for someone to request a replacement than request the first one. Or so said a buddy at the FBI that does such things.

That is interesting. I've moved a whole bunch of domains to Google Apps. Many still have the DNS hosted elsewhere, while new acquisitions use Google for everything. Give me a test account to send to and I'll test from some other Google Apps domains.
