Very weird. I have used a number of 1TB drives (Seagates) without formatting issues. But I have only ever created single full-size partitions. I don't have any with me to test, sorry.

Have you tried different formatting tools? What errors are coming up?

The thought wasn't "I want to use Photoshop", it was "I want to stitch photos together, do some HDR composites, RAW conversion, and some general touch-up adjustments". The alternative to PS is to use Canon's RAW converter, Photomatix for HDR, PTGui for stitching, Helicon for DOF, and Paint.net...

Not disagreeing with you. But it is the best product out there that can do what it does. Paint.net doesn't have enough features, and all the other apps that can do one or two of the things PS can take longer to do them.

Thoughts? The features list looks pretty awesome. I also hear that it is finally 64-bit and can therefore handle more RAM. It also looks like they are making the extended edition more worth it.

Thanks for the warning. My main concerns are compatibility with the images that I will be making. I suspect that so long as I stay with the same chipset the image should work even if I have to go to another manufacturer.

Well, I did just order one of these for my new work machine. We'll see how it likes dual-monitor action; and how it likes running the 3rd and 4th monitors after an 8800GTS drives the first two.

I read a number of reviews a while ago where some onboard video would only mirror to the multiple outputs, only presenting one to the OS. I don't remember which one it was.

Other than a crash every few hours, the Spore-RELOADED from TPB plays very well. The retail copy I bought (and opened once) now sits on my shelf, next to the other games I bought and cracked.

They did say that calling them and requesting more installs was easy. I haven't heard of anyone that has tried yet.

Bought it, install failed with Daemon Tools installed, downloaded from TPB, installed from there with crack. No issues.

I just wanted to play the game through once to get the feel first, so I was into space in about 3 hours. I then spent 3 hours in space (forgetting to save) before it crashed. I then repeated the same twice more. It is able to run for several hours without crashing, I was just dumb. Repeatedly.

In the space section, you can't save while on a planet. Considering everything happens while on a planet, that is an issue.

Spores lack of an autosave feature, combined with its tendency to crash, and its inability to allow a manual save most of the time has led me to swear off the game before finishing it once. Lame.

Not really, its only a 6 digit number. I also want the users to be able to read them. The number of times people have grabbed each others laptops or cell phones is stupid.

Since I'm looking to buy a house in a bit, I just keep rooting for it to go down. If it keeps crashing for another year or so that would be great.
