CHEAP ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS CARD THAT WORKS?

Start with a pair of these on your router. If you still need more for the HTPC, then get one of these. The antenna for the WMP54G is a guess, because Linksys doesn't say what connector they use.

Yup, mine is attached to a ball head on a Manfrotto tripod. I typically release the entire NN and hand-shoot with it hanging off. Not exactly ergonomic... I'm looking into one of these to speed my shots.

The reason isn't that good. This entire stack will be reviewed by a group of people. I offered to provide everyone in the group with a laptop, and coordinate the review process, but they want a hard copy.

Nah, our cost per page is better than Kinkos. We do have some pretty serious hardware. It also is legally sensitive stuff, so I don't know how comfortable they would be outsourcing it.

Almost nobody cares about BSD anymore.

I'm not saying that it guarantees security, but you can't say it doesn't help. Unless someone wants what you have very, very badly, they aren't going to write a custom exploit for you and your friends. http://xkcd.com/538/

CHEAP ANTENNA FOR WIRELESS CARD THAT WORKS?

All the antennas that I have gotten helped somewhat. Is this for a desktop (fixed position, directional antenna) or a laptop (varying position, omni-directional antenna)? Which make/model of wireless card (different connectors)? BTW, I've done business with that company (wlanparts.com) several...

Almost nobody cares about BSD anymore.

Another thing in its favor security-wise is it's obscurity. There is no point developing an exploit for *BSD, as the market is even smaller than Linux.

They were all scanned in originally. Invoices, bills, receipts, timecards, misc. crap. It is going to be crazy. I'm thinking of actually breaking the work over 3 copiers to save time.

A while ago I dropped a random tidbit into the something random thread. Today I got the response. "Print it". I'm planning on taking one of the copiers off-line and dedicating it to this for a day. It would be fantastic if I could just queue all the jobs and add paper as needed (it has a...

Handruin, if you are still looking at a 370Z, the Camero and the Hyundai Genesis Coupe look like decent cheaper cars in the same market. I would never buy a Camero (the image is wrong for me, and I like small cars), but the Genesis looks very tempting with the 306hp V-6 well appointed for well...

The mount at the end of the two arms has a tripod bolt built in. I've only attached it to the camera body, and shot with nothing larger than the 75-300III @ 300mm. It is more than long enough to find the nodal point of that combo. If you were after something larger with a lens plate, I still...

SSDs - State of the Product?

I have three types of customers. 1. People who mess their system up all the time, and replace the entire machine when they do (1-2 years). 2. People who mess their system up all the time, and replace every 2-3 times (~5 years) 3. People who don't mess up their system, have simple tasks to do...

Windows 7 "Location and Other Sensors"

I'm at the point where trying to protect information that others[1] likely already have doesn't seem worthwhile. The trick is guessing what they have and what they don't. [1] Two groups and two levels of exposure; government and commercial entities.

SSDs - State of the Product?

I've found that there aren't that many cases for expensive machines that last a long time. Most applications (home machines, office workstations, laptops) do better with a machine that costs half as much replaced twice as often. I don't like it that way (more work, more pollution), but instances...

I'm just trying to think of features the OS could have that change geographically. Having an incredibly accurate system time is nice, geotagging all my pictures could be good. Is it making the location information available to apps through some API?
