This is to say, it shouldn't be as important as it is. To my knowledge, a computer, no matter how perfect, has yet to bring any woman back to a man. I would also suggest going with an AMD chip. Intel is for wussy-boys.

[NEWS] - Athlon XP won't have PCI Express support

Baloney. ATi just released a new AGP card, and I expect the next generation of cards will still come with AGP models, even if they are bridged. There wil continue to be AGP cards for some years, although they may not be the latest and greatest.

Ghost Enterprise is very nifty. While you could theoretically control a remote image dump from the Ghostcast server, I find it easier to open up the console and manually start a session from the client.

    Ghosting/Ghostcasting questions...

Try creating a virtual partition or Ghost boot partition. You should be able to do this with Gdisk. I've never done either of these, so a trip through the documentation would be in order. It's a group of PDFs in the Ghost install folder.

How to Dump Windows Volume GUIDs?

Whether the partition is active or not has nothing to do with it. If you backup a boot partition and, then, restore it without its original GUID, it can end up with a different drive letter. I'd like to be able to create and image and place it in any partition, as well as be able to restore...

How to Dump Windows Volume GUIDs?

I'd like to try to create an image of a clean Windows XP install with core drivers and applications that I restore when I wish. The issue is that Ghost won't pull the volume's GUID unless I image an entire disk, and, if I don't restore the GUID or install the partition exactly back to the same...

If the drivers don't do a full install to a network printer, then they don't support remote control of these options. Installing the drivers with the printer local on each computer may work, but it's far more likely to cause barfy printing, as the driver is expecting to send direct commands...
