    Looking for Synchronization Software

Thanks for the leads thus far. Unison shows some promise. It's interface is extremely thin, and it will be extremely visible to any users on the target computer. I fear that stupid users may close the target server, and I'd have to manually restart it. I also haven't been able to tell if...

    Looking for Synchronization Software

Here's the situation: I have two computers, I'll call A and B. Computer A is at my home and what I'll be at most of the time. Computer B is on-site; I'll use it from time to time directly, but usually will only access it remotely through Symantec pcAnywhere. Computer B is also used by other...

Texas one step closer to its return to Mexico

Here is where I point out a few accidents of Texas (and world) history. 1. The non-Caucasians were there first. By thousands of years, no less. 2. Texas, like California and Hawaii, used to be its own nation. Texas, however, has not gotten over that. 3. Most Texans didn't want to be their...

    Mounting a Heat Sink

I have. I recently refurbished the ol' 2200+ for reuse. Replacing the paste gained a 5C or so reduction in CPU temperatures. I suppose that there is likely some dependence on what the old and new materials are. Any material that's thermally cycled will have a tendency to not stay exactly as...

Also, if you're getting a retail CPU, it will come with the interface material -- usually a thermal pad already on the heatsink. You will have to use that to maintain your warranty.

Are you kidding me? You can pull the same schtick with a funded transaction as you can with a credit card backed one -- just no chargebacks. It only works if you trust the person at the other end of the transaction. At which point, you might as well use a check.
