    Bartender's Challenge

I can see now that I was tired + grouchy when I put that final post up last night. In any case, it took about 15 additional attempts to get that score. I had only one other one that exceeded the first post's score of 103 and that one was a 150. The game capitalizes on the player...

Cheetah 15.3 or 15.4 for boot drive?

Well Doug, I know this is going to get me a bunch of "BOOs" but I decided to just enable my NF7-S 's SATA ports and threw a 74gig Raptor in there. I was running out of room with the single 18gig 15K3 and can't see spending the greens on a bigger SCSI drive at this point. If SAS ever takes off...

Cheetah 15.3 or 15.4 for boot drive?

Too bad you need an 80 pin SCA, Greg. I just finished clearing the SCSI components out of my home rig this last weekend. Need to sell off a 68pin LVD 18gig Cheetah 15K3, an Adaptec 29160 card, and several Granite Digital cables plus a terminator. I was planning on putting that stuff in the...

    Bad News on Scumware.

In recent months I've been asked several times to rid my co-workers' laptops of sh*tware. Some of these poor machines have been absolutely riddled with it. On the worst machines I ran Adaware, Spy Sweeper, and Giant in succession followed by a double-check of auto-running components by using...

Clocker, your level load times are about the same as mine. (30-45) If you want to play with those preload commands, just create an autoexec.cfg file with these lines in it: cl_forcepreload 1 sv_forcepreload 1 ...and stick it in the \Program Files\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\<username>\half-life...

Why Does Windows Have to Hate?

Just be cautious when it comes to the part of omitting services and drivers. It is really easy to fabricate a slipstream that won't work if you leave needed items out of it. There's no safety net.

Greg, I keep a PCI video card for backup in case I ever get the inclination to tamper with my main AGP video card's bios and a glitch occurs.
