    Rollcall: who is running what?

I went and looked on SR to see if my ancient posts about case dynamatting were on there. Evidently they were pre-crash era.

I'll stick a post in the "Rollcall: who is running what?" thread tonight or tomorrow with a list. Nothing out of the ordinary...for me anyway.

X800s are finally coming down in price

I wish they had already released the R520 when I finally threw down the gauntlet and bought the components for my new gaming machine a couple weeks ago.

    NV Pain

Right on the slipstreaming David. However, if you are going to make a RAID array on these boards the RAID drivers either have to be F6'ed in during the beginning of the Win-OS install or slipstreamed onto the CD as a textmode driver using OEM Preinstall. I do slipstreams because I've had good...

    NV Pain

Although it took a while, I finally was able to determine that it was the NV-raid drivers causing the havoc. For some strange reason, the newest set along with the last 2-3 iterations before them, simply will not work. Finally using an older v5.18 set worked just great. The real pisser in all...

Can I get a hand from a torrent fiend?

Emule works exceptionally well for certain items that torrents don't exist for. Some modded client versions are very cool. :mrgrn: I still use it for about 80% of my P2P. Most of my downloads aren't movies/videos though.

Almost a religious experience here at the Groltz household... After fighting with the aforementioned scenario for the last 2 days the machine just booted to the desktop. Bartender, drinks on me...at least until something else fubars on this work-in-progress.

    NV Pain

Has anyone in here had the horrifyingly nasty experience of trying to create a bootable SATA Raid-0 array on a Nforce4 board with an integrated NV Raid controller? I'll elaborate if there's any 'yes' votes.

Can I get a hand from a torrent fiend?

Ok, I went over to TorrentSpy and picked out a torrent to download. RESULTS Just finished about 5 minutes ago. It took a little while to kick in but after it did the speeds were decent. I am on Comcast 6MB Down / 768KB up.

Can I get a hand from a torrent fiend?

Ok Merc, here's my questions: Is she getting her torrent files from membership-only sites? If you get a torrent that belongs to a membership site and you're not a member, they can cut you off via IP recognition. Tell her to try getting one from The Pirate Bay or another non-regulated site. Is...

Suggestions for hooking up cable internet. Part II

In honesty, I'm not familiar with it Fushigi. The one thing I do know is that people at my company that want to connect to the network from home (via broadband) must use a VPN-able router. I 'spose the trial by fire will begin once it gets here.

It is a private plane. We have two of them. Pratt engines are more prevalent on US-owned 757's I believe. When I worked at United airlines, all the 757's had PW2037 engines. I went to a recurrent training class at Delta airlines last year and learned all their 757's have the PW2037 engines too.
