What I'd recommend is a more efficient heatsink in terms of heat transfer, then. Using a better heatsink means not needing as much air blowing through it to maintain a target temperature.
What about mounting a Thermalright SP-97 or SI-97 and a quieter 92mm fan?
I have been looking for a way to get around the aggravating WinXP problem of frequently not being able to delete files or folders due to "Cannot delete ****: It is being used by another person or program"
Also mentioned in the past by Andy.
I found this yesterday and it solves the problem...
They make the Panaflo 120mm/12volts fans in four different airflows. The lowest ones are fairly quiet.

I agree wholeheartedly. Fan adapters stink. Additionally they've been proven in tests to not allow good airflow through them. (I...
It's amazing the way this post has ballooned out when we never even got an explanation from Eric as to what was bothering him.
Who's going to be first to haul Leo Buscaglia out of their arsenal of personal beliefs/dogma?
Merc, I disdain Creative Labs about as much as anyone. Nevertheless, what are your thoughts on their new X-Fi technology? Interesting to you at all?

The first SSD with parallel Advanced Technology Attachment interface will ship in capacities up to 16GB. Such a device will feature sixteen 8Gb NAND memory chips and will cost approx. $900 with the current market prices of these chips.
I changed out my NF7-S northbridge cooler about a month ago when the fan bearing began howling.
Used a Thermalright NB-1C.
The only hassle, and it wasn't a big one, was to graft the old cooler's fan wiring harness to the new Thermalright's fan. That way I was able to plug it right in to the...

I found the BBC documentary Supervolcano: The Truth About Yellowstone parts I & II are being shared on emule. Hopefully they'll be good.
The "Supervolcano docu-drama" is also being file shared but I didn't go for that one.
I've never had more than 5 processors. Don't know where they got 7 from.
Given that 4 of my 5 are sub 1200MHz PIII's I doubt they'd even be missed if they were shut off.
So true. It has happened well within the last 200 years too. Tambora in Indonesia underwent a VEI=7 eruption (150 times bigger than Mt. St. Helens 05/18/80 eruption) in 1815 that caused a global cooling that was called the "Year without a summer" and there were massive crop failures. Death toll...
The Yahoo article only makes a veiled reference to the fact the we have our own "supervolcano" <VEI=8> right here in the USA. It's called Yellowstone.
It is also 40,000 years overdue for an eruption based on its calculated 600,000-year eruption cycle history.
Given the amount of press and emotion this event has created, the husband is going to be vilified by people wherever he goes for as long as it is remembered.
It looks like the only two Nforce4-Ultra boards that have four 32-bit PCI slots are the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum and the Foxconn NF4UK8AA-8EKRS. Has anyone seen others?
Here's my solution, an extension called "Configuration Mania". All my bookmarks have generic icons next to them.

I had Kingmax PC133 sticks in a board quite some time ago. No problems that I remember.
It appears that the SuperRAM line is the value line for Kingmax. As long as mubs isn't going to overclock (much) it should be fine.
Newegg customer reviews must always be taken with a grain of salt, of...
I just pulled into the hangar parking lot at 7:15.
Traffic was only somewhat obnoxious since I carpool and get to use the diamond carpool lane.
We check the freeway status almost every day before heading home to see if there are any smash-ups that can be avoided.
As long as the PID and key code match each other it should work.
I can't personally vouch for it, however. Maybe some of the others here have worked with this?
So how far in the past did the event occur if the star is 50,000 light-years away? In other words, how long did it take it to reach us....Any astronomy buffs?
