IIRC, humans have been adding honey to booze for several thousand years now. (Pottery from Europe dated back to ~2500BC have traces of Mead w/honey used as the sugar have been found. Samples from China date from over 7000BC - IIRC this was a rice wine with honey).

Thanks for the heads up... The reason for a lot of these new nonsensical company and/or product names, is that most if not all other common names are already trademarked or are unable to be trademarked for being too common. Similar with registration of Company/Business names internationally...

My only recommendation would be either the Dell Optiplex 3070 mini with 5yr onsite warranty, or the HP EliteDesk 800 with 3yr onsite warranty... Note, both Dell and HP offer all-in-one variants, and small form factor variants of the above as well. The reason I point these models out, is the...

IIRC WinNT4 could be really picky about UDMA modes for controllers and drives, you could try limiting the SD/IDE adaptor to PIO4 mode? (My system at the time would hang 95% of the time during boot when UDMA33 was enabled in NT4, otherwise UDMA worked fine with Linux, so I know it wasn't...

    Windows 10 activation hardware changes

The problem with those "cheap" licenses, is that you may not be sure exactly what license you are getting? Is it OEM (digital), retail (digital), a volume license key, a technet/MSDN key... Further reading: https://www.howtogeek.com/392080/cheap-windows-10-keys-do-they-work/

    HDMI and 4K

Not at all, just the situation is not very clear for the consumer. As @time pointed out, a lot of motherboards and cheap video cards lack HDMI 2.0 needed for 4K@60Hz. To get 4K@60Hz working via HDMI, you need to pay close attention to exactly what is being offered on the motherboard and video...

    HDMI and 4K

I think the point is, that 4K displays are now an option for most users, but the lack of support for them (esp when using HDMI) is disappointing. (Prices are now becoming reasonable for 4K, multiple options for under AU$400, or 4K TVs for less than AU$600 in the 50-60" size).

    Windows 10 activation hardware changes

@time, cheap in the US... As you and I know, expensive in the land of Oz... (The cheapest I could find was AU$149 for Windows 10 Home x64 OEM DVD, MS official pricing is AU$225.) I did find cheaper licenses, but all appeared "too cheap"...

    HDMI and 4K

I just had a quick look as well, and it really does appear to be bit of a sh*t show when using the IGP. From what I can gather, Intel and motherboard manufacturers simple skimped on their HDMI implementations, relying on add-in GPUs to provide 4K@60Hz support... The only saving grace on the...

No New Windows 10 Feature Updates For My P50

    Mac Pro (2019)

I assume most people have seen the new Mac Pro announcement? Certainly impressive machine (and it's reported to come in at a tidy $50K fully specced out). However, digging through the announcement you see a lot about CPU performance (using Intel Xeon), memory capacity (up to 1.5TB RAM)...

SSDs - State of the Product?

@LM Those temps are pretty typical of most NVMe from what I've seen. There are some third party heat sinks for NVMe devices available as well if it's a concern? (eg https://www.amazon.com.au/EKWB-EK-M-2-NVMe-Heatsink-Black/dp/B073RHHYCM not endorsing this one, just showing one example).

SSDs - State of the Product?
