Laptop Drive Showing only 32gb On A 40gb Drive

Indeed mubs, that will certainly clear out all data from data tracks. However, cylinder reduction is not recorded in data tracks, just as other data related to minimum and maximum LBAs are not recorded in data tracks. Thus, writing zeros to a drive will not 'clear out' this reduction method...

Laptop Drive Showing only 32gb On A 40gb Drive

I would suspect one of two things with this drive: 1) Someone ran something similar to Ontrack Disk Mangler, which allows you to "Set Drive Size". This automatically sets the drive to 32GB to help overcome any potential BIOS limitations. Writing zeros to the drive won't change this feature...

Would you raher be a sock or a puppet?

Those are kind comments Tea. There is always an open seat next to me at the bar if you need a place to rest your weary body from the hard work that Tannin and the Bartender have chained you to. Good question Mercutio. I thought the socks and the puppets were one and the same. Oh well, shows...

    XML/XSLT/HTML Q?

Sorry Liam, I have no experience with XML. However, I would recommend that you visit the W3CSchools and check out all of their XML tutorials. Once I read your question, I went to their site and began reading through the tutorial on XSL and could see that they might be able to help or at least...

What a shame, I remember coding like that when I took my course in IIS 3.0 and used the likes of Frontpage. Anyway, EditPlus2 is a very nice tool, which I have been using some time. Also, if you need some assistance, I'll be happy to help -- anything to make that site more attractive.

How to overlay a web graphic

Actually, Opera needs the width to be 100% so that it will scale horizontally. You are creating the actual color and size of the horizontal navigation bar with the #horbar id, and since it comes before the decor and wander ids used for stream.jpg, everything layers nicely. However, the actual...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

Indeed. Side impacts are one of the most dangerous types of accidents too. They usually don't kill the occupants, they just cause severe brain damage. During a side impact, the two halves of the brain move separately, which causes the tissue that connects these two hemispheres to sever.

    building a 1U dual Opteron

Sorry P5, I don't know of any reviews for the hardware. Just as a note, the particular version that Tyan shows is the standard model GX28 (B2882G28S2H), they also have another GX28 (B2880T1S) that supports only 6-DIMM slots and only has 2Gbe without the extra 10/100 port. The reason for this...

That is a very nice car, it almost reminds me of a concept car that Audi had a few years ago . . . . I gave Gentoo a whirl once, along with ArkLinux and some other flavors that I can't remember. They just didn't fit my needs so they were canned. My current installations of RedHat are getting a bit annoying, and I'm thinking of switching them over to Windows.

    So, um, where is everyone?

What would you consider to be challenging? The reason I ask is that I have never considered the operation of a computer and the problems that end-users encounter to be challenging, but for others, it is downright mind boggling. So the notion of something being challenging is quite subjective.

    So, um, where is everyone?

Yes, I can totally understand Handy. Lately, either my memory fails or I must focus on something so closely, that everything else gets forgotten and ignored. I think we should go back to manual labor, it is much less taxing on the brain. Woops, I just remembered I have a bad back - bummer.
