Thanks for the explanation Gilbo. There seems to be a great deal yet to learn about the cell; and whoever spends time in the field will have an exciting time with the subject. The interaction between DNA, RNA and protein seems very tight (yes, from a design standpoint, I would say like...

Gilbo, you seem to know a lot about cells (something I'm not too familiar with), could you explain how proteins, amino acids, RNA and DNA work together in a cell?

The problem Gilbo is what you define as faith. I defined faith according to God's Word, not man's. If you're going to believe in God and the Bible as his word, wouldn't you believe and follow what it says? If you don't believe in God and his word, then don't. It's very simple. Or, I...

Interestingly, with Occam’s Razor principle (the principle of parsimony) regarding life evolving by chance, the odds of a simple protein molecule developing in this way is one in 10^113. For all 2,000 proteins working as enzymes that are needed for a cell’s activity to occur by chance, the odds...

    MAG 19" CRT Life

When switching from a 19" CRT to a 19" LCD, I had the same concern Clocker. However, I run my LCD at 1280 x 1024, and my eyes are not strained. There is something about the clarify of an LCD and the extra bit of real estate space that it actually uses that seems to make the difference.

    Poll: Anyone like to cook?

Dinner turned out very good. I cut the slab of beef into long strips about 1.5 inches thick and seared them in a pan before putting them in the pot with the seasonings (deglazed pan with a little red wine and added that to the pot). In the pot I sautéed some onions and garlic in a little oil...

I prefer to stay away from those two brands. I have some of the same feelings about them as Mercutio does. For me, it's either Sapphire or plain-Jane ATI.

    Poll: Anyone like to cook?

So, I'm at home sick today. Being sick, we unanimously decided no computer work (that was an easy decision too). So, what to do? First, take care of important chores: do some laundry. After that, I decided to cook -- what a way to enjoy the day. Two and half pounds of rib eye chopped up and...

All these recipes sound good, plus we have a new food: Chile Mercutio, thanks Gilbo. :P Good suggestion Blake with the Cilantro. I was surprised when I first ate Indian food that they use Cilantro a lot. I was only used to it in Mexican food. PS: I haven't made that mistake with peppers...

    Poll: Anyone like to cook?

Your mixture sounds great Mercutio. The only change would be to switch some fo those powdered spices into minced pieces of the real thing, such as Anaheim Chiles, or Habanero Chiles. The only drawback to that is if someone gets a small piece in their mouth and it is still too spicy. So, I...

    long term goals

Actually, the explanation is in the previous verses. Matthew 6:34 is the conluding verse to a particular thought Jesus was conveying. When read in context and especially with additional scriptures on the same thought, the meaning of Matthew 6:34 becomes clear.

It's great having the capability to preserve such wonderful movies for the future through the computing power of today. Not only were they able to clean all of the frames, but also enhance them for better definition. I've been interested in buying the trilogy on DVD, but I've heard that some...

    Bigger Drives When?

FAT32? Why would you go with FAT32 for such a large partition size? FAT32 doesn't handle very large file sizes and Windows utilities puke on massive FAT32 partitions because of the disproportionate cluster sizes. NTFS is much better when scaling to this size.
