I received the switch and it seems to be a sturdy one. I noticed that the USB interface is only 1.1 on the 2-port model that I have, whereas the similar 4-port model has USB 2.0. Does it make a difference or are the HIDs natively 1.1 in any case?
I want either a faster, 6Gbps X-25E series for around $500 or something cheap, but decent like the X-25M series for around $150. I wish they made a 40GB X-25M.
It seems to be a good opportunity, but have an attorney read the contract carefully. You should also investigate the employer. A contract is not worth much if the business goes bankrupt for example.

iPad looks like a half-baked product with too many missing features. Then in a year Apple will fix it and the fools will run out and buy another one.
Maybe the device should be dubbed the iBrick because it is so large/heavy.
