    A few times a year there is some AV screwup. I recall last year Avast was killing the goot process. We used Trend Micro AV at the last place I worked. The new computers are awful, but I don't know if the AV is involved.

    The more examples I see, the less impressed I am. The tool has its uses, but sometimes goes nuts. Even when it works fairly well there is often some manual cleanup to be done afterwards. There is surely a learning curve.

    OMG, that example awful. The retouching is designed for smaller areas. It underscores the fact that there is no way to recreate missing info.

    My Thermaltake BlacX Duet only needs one USB or one eSATA port for both drives. It contains a USB/eSATA JBOD PM. Drives are fully hot swappable in Windows. Make sure you are using a compatible SATA controller, not necessarily an ICH.

    Usually once and sometimes twice. I even had one Slot 1 board with four different CPUs over 2.5 years.

    Huh? Isn't having a fast page file and temp files one of the main reasons for having an SSD? Mine are constantly reading, writing, wiping etc. The 32GB X25-E is near 12TB written in 15 months or so of use. The X25M is much newer and more lightly used.
