Normally I carry a TK11 onboard with one spare cell in a plastic container. It is set to low power and the switch end cap is unscrewed enough so that it would not turn on accidentally even if pushed.
That powerful light would be good for finding bodies at night.
I don't know if FAA accepts the light with lithium batteries in the checked luggage. Too bad something like it is not commercially available.
NEC 90 series are really good, but their consistency has been slipping. Some of the other brands use their panels in lower-priced units.
It goes without saying that the store should have a good return policy.
OK, I installed it. But really, why should that be necessary just to test the internet speed? Does the newer Windows or latest Mac OS X have that pre-installed?
Aha! I downloaded the generic lightscriber driver and now Nero has an option for the labels. However, the text is pixelated and the color is grey regardless of the font color (blue). :bleh:
What does that mean for people like me with a limited $5K budget? Can I put together a system with 6 channels of RAM for less dough than the standard i7 980EX on X58?
Not I, but some people use them for videos. The closest I get is using a flashlight to look for leopards or ellies or hippos, etc. around the tents at night.
I wanted to print the disc name on the lightscriber side. However, I burned a disc and it completed as per usual without any dialog box for the lightscriber.
I broke down and purchased a small spindle of DVDs. However I'm not sure which software to use. Are there any free ones worth trying? Google searches end in a morass. :errr:
The FASS is getting cheaper by the minute. I've been happy with the FALS (only 1TB), which have been doing most of the heavy lifting for the past year or so. Decisions, decisions. :erm:
The lower end Panasonics are not very competitive any more. I almost bought several in the early to late 2000's.
I wonder if Panasonic will even stay in that segment. :sqnt: The real Toughbooks are mainly for commercial/institutional use.
I would just add some extra 120V circuits and switches, then install local lighting. In some years you may find an extreme, customized system rather obsolete or out of style.
How do the images stay in register if burned twice?
Another question is where is the laser for burning the label side of the disc? I don't see anything different from other optical writers.
