Thanks. I received notification in the morning. Egg's always spamming me with the oddball Guerrilla deal. It looks like a BEM, rather than traditional revolutionary.

    4-Port Internal Controller

This card appears to be the root of the hard drive problems I have been having lately. I thought there were some bad drives, but not when moved around between controllers. I'm not sure if it is one port in particular or a general problem between the controller and certain drive brands. :crap:

My 2005 1200x1600 monitor changes orientation when the display is rotated. It seemed fine to me other than the few seconds of changeover. Surely by now there should not be a problem?

    It's HOT

I'm on the secondary system now. Despite the 4.2 GHZ it runs cooler since there is less in the case. It's 82 °F in this room. I still have 13,500 or so RAW files to convert and I don't want to kill anything.

I looked at some TVs yesterday. Crazy bright, overly contrasty and oversaturated colors are not what I would want in a monitor for computer use. I admit they look nice for watching videos. :)

We don't have many basements in the southwest. I've never had one actually. I have heard they are more prevalent in the north, east and midwest. I assume you have good plans for the lumber. We once had a bunch of wood delivered in 1986 and then plans changed. The wood was piled up for over...

SSDs - State of the Product?

What is the best choice now for 2 drives in RAID 0 that will exceed the X25-E? :dunno: I'm concerned about write speeds as much as reads. Total capacity should be 128MB, but the drive size should not sacrifice performance.

Nichia Develops 60 Lumen Per Watt White LED

I love this little light. :) It weighs practically nothing and is not much larger than the battery. At full brightness the light becomes rather warm after a while. The middle power mode is fine in a dark room. Even the 3.3 lumens mode produces enough light to make one's way about in total...

    Lower Power

The problem was that when some drives were running on the PM and others were powered on, at least one of the running drives was kicked out of the system, resulting the dreaded delayed write failure. I had no issues when all drives were powered at boot. Normally I have only the 6 HDs, 2 SSDs...

    RAID SSD controller?

Obviously the controller is relatively cheap because it is not built for RAID 5 or 6. However, I will use it for individual drives or maybe a pair of SSDs in RAID 0. I did not investigate yet, but there should be a passthrough adapter to use 4 drives in an external enclosure with a single...
