Everybody has different comfort levels. You really need to test them out in a store and see if there is anything online about durability of particulr models. Sagging and noise are the main complaints. The better models have fancier spring technologies and various tops. I'm not the fan of the...

The speakers look hidden or practically non-existent. Would it help to get some cheap mini computer speakers to clear up the sound? I think a pair could sit right behind the TV.

The 22" Panasonic has a TN panel. They have no 26-27", though the 32" are IPS. 31.5" wide is too huge for the table (old one is 20" wide).

What are the panels in the HD TVs, IPS or PVA? I bought a 32" Samsung two years ago and the viewing angle was quite good. Now some day I may by a TV for myself. :lol:

The distance will be ~4 feet away with SD cable, broadcast network TV, and some commercial DVDs in that order of usage. Are there 1080 26" TVs of similar cost? I'm trying to keep the price reasonable.

10GB is plenty for my C: partition for now. Most of my apps are 3-8 years old. Even with a clean Win 7 installation and a few new apps I doubt it would exceed 20GB or so. The price vs. capacity for that RAID SSD system is not exactly linear at the moment. 240 and 480 GB models are the best...

480GB is somewhat useless for me. It's not really enough for a usable block of data but unnecessarily large for a C: drive.

If the memory chips are multiples of 16Gb, then you are correct that there needs to be at least some space for ECC, spare blocks, etc. It will probably be 60GB in reality. The Corsairs are 55.8GB formatted.

There is a bootable CD ESTool on Samsung's website, but it looks like a 20+ year old DOS app. Waiting 5 hours for each test is very annoying when there is a small pile of HD204UI drives to check. :tdown: Is there a better way to thoroughly test the drives in Windows? Thanks.
