    It's HOT

Perhaps I should have used a different word. I was thinking to type ZIP code, but I'm not sure if everyone outside of the country knows what that means. The ZIP code replaced the postal codes (Zone Improvement Plan) back in the early 60s. In the old days there were only the short number...

Does Norway have the Death Penalty?

Maybe it could be a tourist industry, go there and be killed for vacation alternative? I think the Chinese could do it cheaper though.

Did you see all those red cases? I'd go blind working that room all day. It's like the fire vehicles in the 1960s.

Acronis True Image Home 2011 64 bit

Yes, I think they all do if the host supports it. Many RAID or other add-in controller cards don't show all or any of the info.

    question Frys

Most of the Fry's restocking discounts are only 5% or something. I do find one value to the restocked Fry's items in that if there is pile of a particular product, that is probably not a good purchase. :) I only buy the retailed drives at Fry's and do not trust the OEMs. I have seen some...

Why is the site always slow?

None of mine are near 100 either, and I probably have about the slowest sustained internet speed of anyone at SF. None of that matters when the website is slow. It doesn't exactly take huge bandwidth to download some paragraphs of text and a few small graphics quickly when the site is running...

    question HDD advice, PLEASE?

There are many positive reviews at the newegg for that drive in the PS3 so it should work. The main use for such drives are for set top DVRs and surveillance video. The firmware/cache are optimized for multiple video streams, not OS performance. The error recovery retries are usually more...

I've been in middle mangement and interviewing/hiring candidates since the 1980s. Any halfway decent company springs for at least a basic background check before the people are hired. (That typically does not apply to temporary workers/contractors/consultants, but usually they can be...
