It's a valid question. If you can do your own taxes and can properly fill out the tax forms a rebate form should be a piece of cake. Maybe Greg is ripe for some IRS attention too.
Same for me. I do keep meticulous copies though. I photograph everything I send in down to the stamped envelope with the address on it. I've only had to call and yell at OCZ a few times. Their rebate processor is pretty slimy and will straight up lie to you sending you a postcard rejecting...
Well, apparently a lot of SAS controllers don't play nice with SATA drives. It all depends on the chipset they use. They're also expensive. The Dell Perc 5/i & 6/i are the exceptions, not the rule.
I have a few Perc 6/i's and a couple of Perc 5/i's. I am running an 8 drive 5400RPM Samsung SATA RAID-6 array on a Perc 6/i (SAS) in my basement. The cards were about $100 each (with battery).
The 4 SATA to SAS breakout cables are ~$10 shipped each on ebay.
So, back in March of 2008 I bought a Gigabyte GA-EP35-DS4 motherboard from ZipZoomFly for $169.99. Much to my surprise over the weekend (20 months later) I noticed that I actually got a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4 motherboard from them. *sigh*
I guess I should have paid closer attention. However, I...
How can that be? Aren't the graphics integrated into the chipset. How does that need to use the PCIe bus when it's built in. What's the connection to the DVI / HDMI vs VGA?
That's because you didn't install the OS correctly. You have to install the OS when it's set to AHCI mode and do the F6 thing, or use a WinXP disc that has the drivers integrated into it.
Or, you can roll the dice afterward and do this.
The Perc is only doing RAID-1 with two drives.
I suppose I could put the drives on the Gigabyte / Jmicron SATA controller in RAID-1 (currently connected only to eSATA ports). That would leave me with only one free SATA port on the ICH9R that would be connected to an eSATA port.
ps: Who knew...
:erm: Is it possible to run out of PCIe lanes?
I installed a PCIe Intel Pro/1000 PT server card in my desktop and it doesn't appear in the device listing during boot sequence, nor in Windows. I tried it in two different PCIe x1 slots with the same results. It works in another system just...
Breach of what? I meant that if everyone was internet savvy people like Merc wouldn't have much to do because they wouldn't manage to mess up their PCs. Stupid people are great economic stimulus that trickles down into tons of industries. :o
I've bought several used cameras. One from Ebay (EOS-3) and several from the forums at Fred Miranda & POTN (EOS-3 / Elan 7n / Rebel XT). The one from ebay came in better condition than I expected (mint). The Elan 7n came in worse condition (it had been dropped and needed repairs). It's a bit...
Well, I've had my Acer 1810T for a few days now. This this is a total netbook killer. I'm still getting used to Windows 7, but the machine is sweet. It excels where my netbook blew chunks.
I did my part and reported every one of the posts.
Of course if nothing is done the problem will get worse once the spammers notice how poorly protected this forum is. :thumbright:
Preventing users with less than 5-10 posts from inserting links and images combined with a few other people with mod privileges would basically solve the problem I think.
