WPA is no longer our friend

Only if they have a lot of time on their hands. WEP and WPA-TKIP have inherent flaws in them that allow them to now be cracked in a short amount of time. Any encryption can be broken given enough time, but that doesn't mean a proper implementation of wireless encryption is ineffective or a joke.

Probably mostly people doing it for the challenge. The gov't has better ways to see what you're doing online.

WPA is no longer our friend

Yes and no... If it went from 15hours to 1 hours I'd say that would be a significant improvement. Most people have the patience to wait 15 minutes so chopping it down to 1 minute, while from a percentage basis is significant, isn't so significant in real use.

WPA is no longer our friend

That depends on the device. Some can have upgraded firmware to support the newer modes, other's can't. I run WPA2 PSK with AES and use the maximum length key possible. I had one device that only supported WEP on it's wireless connection. It's been running via wired ethernet for years as a...

How to tell 7K1000's from 7K1000.B's

I got the additional 2 drives from Newegg. They were not wrapped in bubble wrap, just their plastic shell. They were placed in the box with the external enclosure and surrounded with packing peanuts.

I don't have a problem with Ken Rockwell. I have a problem with the sheep in his flock. Ken presents his opinion. That's fine and he's entitled to it. The problem is that people read his opinion and take it as an absolute fact and it degrades from there.

A reasonable percentage of my pictures came out ok considering I had never shot an airshow before. From what I saw when I got home I probably I should have used a slightly higher shutter speed though. There's a bit of motion blur in a lot of my shots. It's really a fine line though. If you...

It works great, just like the real Canon one I have with the N3 connector. The only real difference is that it's for cameras with the 3/32" remote jack instead of the N3 connector (which Canon doesn't make). In your case I don't see any reason to pay $130 for the Canon TC-80N3 when you can get...

    USB 2.0 enclosure drive upgrade

IMHO, eSATA is essential for external drives now. USB 2.0 isn't so fast when you've got a 500GB drive (or bigger). I don't think I've seen an enclosure that was eSATA that didn't need a SATA drive inside it.
