    Zip performance

Why don't you test it on your typical data? I find them all more or less similar for practical purposes. That is, unless the data is highly compressible, it is not worth the time. One thing I use compression for are TIB files, but the software does that internally. The other are some...

I have a pussy problem. My friend sent me a text containing that word and it was delivered as p****. Now, I ask what kind of ridiculous censoring is that, since the phone systems don't know if the context is feline or other. Where does the censorship normally occur, on her phone, the ISP or on...

    4k TVs and Monitors

At 50, you should have progressive lenses to cover near-far, or use different glasses for different purposes. WY home I have a single vision lens for the computer display specifically. I use progressives at work, since I don't need a full field that is all sharp at the same time. I also have...

The Panasonic 20' Tablets was announced in January, but I cannot find any indication it is for sale. Does anybody know anything more or if there are other similar products in the wings? The tablet could replace prints for much of my needs, since it has a 9.8MP ~11x16.5" display. :)

Seagate does not have a News Thread

They always used small radius platters that were/are limited by outer track velocity. In 2000 when the first 15K drives appeared, the outer casing was 3.5" for form factor compatibility.

Seagate was the last to have parallel heads with their Barracuda 2HP. That was in the era of a servo platter and ~100MB/surface. :)

Why should relliability of an SSD be any different in different regions? It's not like there are shipping risks as with hard drives.

I think it gets worse each time. :( However, I have not had such bad experiences with scorpions. Most species of the scorpions in SoCal are not too serious. We had some in the house a few times and they attack the feet. It feels like a typical bee sting. I've also been stung by the African...

SSDs - State of the Product?

The rated spec for total write TBs is ridiculously low, but 3000 erase cycles has been standard for a few years. Even if the write amplification is increased due to the 128Gb design, I seriously doubt that the drive will wear out after only being filled 75 times (72TB) in normal use. For my...

I need the full version, since there are Excel charts, and what not embedded. I'm not very good at PP, but usually only have to provide part of a deck and somebody merges/cleans it up for the final presentations. I suppose only the Pro tablets would run JMP.

    Surface Pro

Well, PP it is still expected for business. Typically a few different versions in various languages are created from the original. Sometimes the ouptut is converted to PDF so that the users cannot mess with the slide deck.

Online store : Superbiiz - good or not?
