SSDs - State of the Product?

Yikes, the prices are $800 for the EVO and $1000 for the Pro. :( I was hoping they would be somewhat less.

SSDs - State of the Product?

I'll send you a PM then, but when do you think they will be out? It looks like the Pro version uses much less power which may be sufficient for a Nexto. Why would the E|V|O use more power than a Pro?

I want to buy a new car

I'm not sure yet. The internet is crappy lately and not loading enough. I think it was Lacrost. It used to be that there was a Buick same as Chevy, Pontiac, Oldsmobile, etc., but the car companies have all gone bonkers I suppose.

That stinks. It's not under warranty? I really don't like this whole iPAD thing in the dashboard that almost all new cars have. When it goes south I suppose half the controls are gone. I'm used to changing the temperature and audio without even looking. At least there are some redundant...

I want to buy a new car

People are used to crowding and public transit in NY, but here some of the people on buses are rather scary. I avoid large cities if at all possible. I'm a suburbanite and yet would prefer a more rural lifestyle if possible. If I had money I'd live in the deserts of Utah or Nevada with very...

I want to buy a new car

I don't live in NYC and I can't ride a bike. I'm not interested in riding the buses with the unwashed masses. My quality of life is continuing to deteriorate, but I want to die in a halfway decent vehicle.

If the images are worse than you expected then you need to figure out why and improve. After a while you should be able to visualize what the final image will actually look like before you take it or before even lifting the camera. The problem is that people tend to visualize what they want...

The 7D II in general is rather noisy so proper PP technique is needed. The blue channel is the noisiest (in all sensors), which makes it worse. I'd do a quack mask on the blue and reduce the sharpening. With the Nikon sensors, there is minimal noise as the lower ISOs. The bird is already too...

A long lens only does so much due to atmospheric limitations. The most important part is to get closer. That may take blinds or wading through rivers, mud etc. and planning for days, weeks, etc. The 80-400G on a D7100 (now D7200) does quite well for the cost. I don't know why the 300/4...

According to the EXIF, #1 and 4 are at 400mm without a TC. #4 is only ISO 400. DD will have to explain what was done in PP to make it so grainy or why a shutter speed of 1/2000 at f/5.6 was used.

I want to buy a new car

Thanks. It's not clear to me when all the 2016 model cars will be available. Some are 2016 models already and others still 2015 with 2016 dates unknown. Do the manufacturers wait until the last minute based on inventory or what? IIRC correctly some years ago the dates were published well in...

European cars are pretty much out due to the narrow width and mostly being R|W|D or else too costly. I liked it better in the old days when there were good-sized cars before all the SUVs replaced them. :(

Damn, the newer cars are funky looking and the windows are so small you can't see anything. The sides seem to be curved in more. It's all very claustrophobic. And they have an iPad in the center for controlling everything. :( I don't know what to do.
