That's colder than my body could survive. :( I don't know about those electric cars. I read some users complaining about range in the dead of winter. I wonder if there is a pug-in electric heater for the battery packs.

I thought the movie just came out last week, so how many people would be fans ahead of that?

Would you expect normal subjects to find the film amusing or entertaining? Someone wants me to see it next weekend, but she is a little strange. I'm not very familiar with the Spiderman if that makes any difference.

    Tesla doomed

There will always be some luxury cars, but of course the Chevys and Chinese will make some cheaper EVs. It's not like that Tesla company has much history that people will care. It's not the demise of Pontiac, Oldsmobile, Mercury, Plymouth, etc.

No. I will get a new local phone number, but not with the same telephone company. Obviously I should have thought of that twelve years ago, but did not. I have about 5 phone numbers, two for work and about 3 for personal use. I don't use any personal cell phone numbers for phone calls, because...

    Best movie you've seen

I don't recall anything about Guardians of the Galaxy that indicated comedy. Maybe it had some amusing moments, but was a rather odd and disjointed film in the action/adventure/sci-fi/fantasy genres. It is nice to see some R rated films making good money, if nothing else.

    Androids Browser

My phone is having problems with the internet. I get errors on some sites and others display warnings. I think may be caused by the Android, version 2.3.6. The phone company will not update it. Are there any decent 3rd party bowsers I can install on a phone of that vintage? Thanks.

I had to take off pants (and naturally the shoes) due to an incident at the party. Then she was acting very strangely, making bizarre comments about my shoes and laughing excessively. The only shoe left was under a bed, which cannot just be a coincidence.

Early April is for the MRIs, etc. then wildlife later in the month. That completes MP05B, which has the highest concentration of major photo locations for me since 2006. Realistically there is not much density in the remainder of the decade and only a few low-probability uses in 2017. Most...

There is no later this year after April-May, at least for anything that would benefit from the D500 compared to the D7200 or even the D7100. I'm estimating 10-15% chance for June 2017 and 25% for December 2017. We'll see how the tests turn out in April.

Nichia Develops 60 Lumen Per Watt White LED

It would seem that Ostram made crappy lamps if others work fine in those sockets in various locations. I suppose there is some chance that the mains power is dodgy and the LEDs are especially sensitive, but how much effort do you want to put into checking that? My experiences with LEDs and...

It looks like I will have to buy a D7200 at the end of February. There are various possible reasons for the D500 delay and the early production cameras may be problematic anyway. The pro Nikon D and Canon 1D series are not primarily designed for video. They have video because the additional...

I prefer 17 for nicely cropped wildlife at a fairly clean ISO, 30 for wider scenes with multiple subjects, and 40 for landscapes. It can be challenging to nicely compose images of moving subjects with long lenses and continuous AF. Sometimes a surrogate AF point is possible, but other times...

It's compromised for video. Most users are not filmmakers or documentarians. If Canon had just given us 24MP at 12 FPS that would have been fine. 20MP is so limited for any cropping. :(

Just go to Northlight-images as they have more info and are the source for many lesser sites. 20MP does very little for me, not to mention the new battery pack which practically forces the purchase of two 1DX II bodies. Bastards.

    Why are chargers so lame?

I have been playing around with the canker battery pack and also the 18W PowerPort 2 charger. The 10050 only has one port, which I somehow overlooked in making the comparisons. :( It is quite compact for the capacity, but also dense. Unfortunately the charging does not operate in a pass...

It depends if you shoot at f/2.8 or if the size and/or weight are an issue. My 70-200/2.8 IS II just sits in the cabinet, but the 70-200/4 IS goes most everywhere. I have not even used the f/4 recently as the 100-400 II is so nice. I will use it along with the 200-400 at some point. I very...

    Why are chargers so lame?

The total amount of lithium would not be an issue. The way I interpret the regs is that the lithium ion cells of the USB Anker battery pack are contained within a device and therefore can be checked. Is that not your understanding?

Hire somebody to do that. The places with heavy and long-lasting snow are not usually the best for solar power anyway.
