I'm liking the 5D IV more than expected. :) Overall it is far better than the 5D III. The low-medium ISO IQ is really good with clean shadows and high ISO is very good as well. The noise is uniform and well amenable to NR. Removal of high ISO color noise results in images that look more...

I want to buy a new car

The economics still don't make sense for most drivers yet, but I can see that there would be 10+% that could benefit sooner. Then there are people like me that need the fuel range and refueling capability of conventional vehicles. For example I typically average 250-350 miles per day for 7-10...

That is the first OEM A-S foot I recall. It's a significant value to buyers of the lower-priced lenses and can reduce weight. Generally I prefer the 4th gen feet for the ultra-low profile or some Kirk feet that are also reasonably low profile. The Tamron tripod mount foot seems rather tall. :(

Nichia Develops 60 Lumen Per Watt White LED

Thanks. I don't know why it does that. Most of them will be XMAS gifts. I have a Fenix and some old Zebralights that use a single AA, but have not looked at what's new lately. I prefer RC123A rechargeables in lights of that size. Most likely you want one with an XP-G2, rather than an XM-L2...

I bought some Nightcore EC4GT lights. For a 170g light it has a crazy throw (56,000) and is compact enough for an easy carry. The only drawback seems that the body gets rather warm an after about 30 minutes on high power.

I'm used to bonus target as % of base pay. For example if someone has a 10% target, they might get between 5-15% depending on performance (personal and company). Obviously someone on a PIP would be at 0, and the reality is that most people will be fairly close to the target.

Yes. There is no issue yet, as the camera is not even for sale. I'd expect it to be about $500 less within 6 months, depending on exchange rates. Other than maybe some Leicas I don't know any FF bodies at 24MP or less that don't have an AA filter. The 24MP Sony a7 II has one, but the 36MP a7R and 42MP a7RII don't. 30MP is in a transition zone. Canon has marketed the 5D series to pros, and sharp lenses at wider apertures produce moiré...

The big question is if there will be a good deal on the 24-105 II with the 5D IV as a kit. Unfortunately we don't know if the lens will be any good. The estimated price is rather low at $1100, so the lens may be just a somewhat better version of mediocre. I could really use the lens next...
