Is there any concern about some Socket 754 motherboards not supporting all socket 754 chips (ie. only 32-bit versions?). Not sure how the arcitecture/chipset/layout might provide incompatabilities.

Does the albatron not like any 9600s? Or just the Pro version? The 9600Pro Ultimate Edition is my favorite card in this segment, but the plain 9600 is fanless, incredibly cool running and does alright in games as well.

It's been a while since I've used 2000 server, but I think I remember a bit. I assume you are only having one user connect at a time? If so, you need to install terminal services in "remote administration" mode, that way you don't need a licencing server.

Linux? Yes, it has quite a few quirks. None specifically attributable to the K8N-E that I know of...
