NEWZ: New Memory Type May Supplant Flash, Hard Drives

Are you saying you want your thumbdrive to be as big as your thumb? I love these little things; far less likely to break.

I agree that normal people, with normal computers will need larger drives because they only have one drive. I, however, could really use a bunch of 36GB solid state screamers for my workstations.

I have had one song in my head for the last week and a half. I didn't say "stuck in my head" because I really, really like it. It's not special in any way, really, but something about it really strikes a chord with me. Dido - Who Makes You Feel Vocals: Dido Production: Dr. Dre I would make it...

I've just started cooking again in the last week. For the last decade or so I've been eating out pretty much every meal of every day. Now I have an actual apartment that I'm happy with (proud of?) and someone worth cooking for. So far it's been real simple; quesadillas, pancakes, pasta...

    Even higher density hard drives.

IIRC, 1TB in Febuary. The tech described here won't be ready for another 5-10 years, unless it is eclipsed before it's even released. I don't like the idea of intentionally creating heat, or including additional components (optics) into drives.
