    42" HDTV recomendations?

I play games on my 42" 1080P hooked up to my computer, and it kicks the ass of any console. It better, considering the cost, but it really is. I've played PS3 and the rest at Fry's on the big HD screen, but it isn't as good. Besides the obvious advantages of the interface (keyboard and mouse)...

Hot Deal: 4GB Corsair USB Flash Drive for $99 AR

I typically carry 2GB files around. The smallest are multi-MB RAW files and the largest are system images. They are the quickest I've tried for this stuff.

Hot Deal: 4GB Corsair USB Flash Drive for $99 AR

Nice. But I still stick to the "GT" version. Seems they only have the 8GB model, and it is a pricey sucker.

It is a screen cap from a BBC channel 4 TV show called "Grand Designs". Season 4, episode 3 - "Sugar Cube Sussex". I've been to the website, and gone down the list of credited suppliers, and can't find anything like it.

    What punishment for illegal abortion...?

I was trying to sell her on the buy one/get one free mentality. That what her religion really wanted was big happy families, not single moms who couldn't support their kids. She disagreed, saying that every child should be born. No wonder we're going to lose this...they'll just out number us.

Can anyone identify this sink/workstation or one like it? I like the concept, and would like to see more. There are trays that slide around a circular track, and a couple sinks underneath.

    I need a mouse

My only complaint about my current mouse is that it could be about 10% larger. Although wood would be a nice look and feel, it would be too heavy for me. The less inertia the better.

    Beverages

I know some things about Champagne, though I prefer Veuve-Clicquot to most of them. In wine, I stick to Cabernet and Merlot. My favorite "cheap stuff" is Page Mill Winery and Galante Vineyards. It's easy to like the stuff that costs $100+ per bottle. Finding good wine for less is the adventure.

    Poll: Anyone like to cook?

Sounds good Merc, though I will be reducing the spice by a factor of 10 or so. I'll also probably throw in some flank steak that I've marinated in tequila and lime juice and seared on the grill. (That is my favorite topping for pizza, BTW).

Jamba Juice is nice. I'm not PUI, as I could barely finish a single drink. I'm not sure what you guys were going on about, this stuff is crap. I'm going back to my Vodka. If my choice is wrong enough to completely miss the flavor, let me know and I will try something else.

Everyone has been talking about whiskey, so I figured I would try some. I bought a bottle of Johnnie Walker Black (12yr) and am trying it straight, rocks, and water-back (or however you call it). All of them make me do that head-shaking thing that sorority girls get teased for. More details to...

    Politics 2008

I agree that we need to get the debt eliminated, but I'm sure I could find a way to do it without raising taxes. Some people might not like me, but the economy would be doing a hell of a lot better. Hillary is fine. She's old-school Washington, and has been taking money from the usual suspects...

    Politics 2008

I would prefer Obama to Hillary, but I don't think that is going to happen, and I don't really "like" either; they are just better than what we have now. Might we see Obama as VP? I think you have a pretty good analysis of the conservative side, and I don't fit in anywhere. What happened to...

    Multiple-office file server

Sweet guys. I had them just order three smoothwalls and three whitebox 1TB servers to handle this. I'll have a while to play with it before it goes live. The smoothwalls are going to be fun; each office has 2 internet connections (T-1 and Cable/DSL) that should be tied in somehow. One of the...

End of the World As We Know It

The government has learned that so long as they keep the normal people doing their normal thing, they could nuke France without an uprising. They are doing everything they can to maintain the status quo until they are out of power, then they can blame the depression on their opponents.

    Spyware App Updates

That does depend. If it's Office and Firefox, no problem. One of my clients has a legacy app that only installs on Win98. The only way to get the app running on XP is to install Win98, install the app, and then do an upgrade. This is slower than cleaning out the machine.

    Multiple-office file server

I think I need to investigate setting some kind of distributed file system. I need a single drive letter at every desk in every office that points to the same share. Spyware App Updates

Making it a bootable CD would mean re-burning the disk every time an update came out. Even if it was on USB there would be a process involved. I typically do what you have done: connect their hard drive to my own system. Is sending NOD32 and the other standard tools at it the best method?

    What punishment for illegal abortion...?

The fact that they squeeze more money from those that have more money makes sense to me. If they averaged the price to something like $1 per pill, how many in third world countries would not be able to buy? The fact that our patent system sucks doesn't mean that a company shouldn't do what it...
