Hmm, must have missed that thread the first time around. Either way that thread was buried. I already contributed one article of my own and edited several others. I think I will continue to conribute over there, it's a really cool idea.

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

He only paid $22k for it. He got a hell of a deal because the car is in immaculate condition and it only has 50k miles on it. The guy who owned it before added 18 inch rims, a spoiler, took all the badges off the car, put a new high performance exhaust on it, and put a chip in it. Just the...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

My friend just bought a 2000 Audi S4 that has been souped up quite a bit. I saw for the first time tonight. It has 320hp and does 0-60 in about 4.8s. That car is amazingly fast. He let me drive it and within 3 blocks I got pulled over. At least I didn't get a ticket. Just thought I would...

    Best movie you've seen

I just watched it and I would have to say that it is the weirdest movie I have seen all year. Most likely I didn't understand all of the symbolism; but I never really understand that sort of thing until someone explains it to me.

    Mobile Phones

Phones with cameras are pushed very hard here. I haven't seen anyone using one yet, but I see TV commercials and hear radio ads for them all the time. I just don't know why I would ever need a sub-par camera built into my phone when I already have a digital camera that takes much better pictures.

    what is the point?

I post on SR every once in awhile. But, I just don't think anyone even reads my posts over there. There is just too much crap posted in the SR forums. Even though I don't post all that often on SF, I still make enough time to read everything that is posted. And, if I feel like contributing...

    Tylenol 3 Shelf Life?

I have all of my teeth including my wisdom teeth. I refused to let those go. Everytime I go to the dentist, who just so happens to be my best friend's dad, he finds about 3 more cavities. I hate getting fillings put in. Maybe if I stop going to the dentist then I won't have to have any more...

    Mobile Phones

I have had a Touchpoint/LG TP2100 for about 2 years now. But, it is just about at the end of its life now. So I ordered a new LG 1200, it doesn't have lots of stupid features. It is just a phone that makes calls and has a phone book. Hopefully I can get 2 years of service out of this phone...

    MS Outlook & NNTP

The interface in Agent might be outdated, but it is still the best all around newsreader. It is faster and more robust than any other news program out there (gui based). However, I use Grabit because all I do is download binaries. And GrabIt is perfect for downloading large batches of binaries.

    MS Outlook & NNTP

Outlook Express News is so crappy that it amazes me that anyone would want to use it. Get a good newsreader such as Agent, or if you are interesting in downloading binaries try GrabIt.

    Mozilla v1.4 Final Released

OK Merc, I tried out Crazybrowser with the link you sent me. I opened 303 tabs of pages with a bunch of pictures per page. I waited for all the pictures to load, which took about 20 minutes, but they are all loaded. Plus, the browser didn't crash. It runs slowly, but not extremely slowly...

Which components for a basic, high-reliability system?

I would go with the items Mercutio mentioned, but I would use the Asus A7N266-VM motherboard. This way you don't need a video card or a NIC. It is worked perfectly the 10 times I have used it in system builds. And it's only $70 from Newegg.

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

Just got back from picking up my car. The only thing I have to say is that it's a sweet ride. I also bought the extended warranty on it. I get 6 years/100,000 miles. The first price he gave me on it was $1250, but I told him I didn't think it was worth it. So after a few minutes he said he...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

I sold my Jeep on Monday and I will finally be picking up a 2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec-V later today. It has a 6 speed tranny, rockford fosgate sound system, and it is bright yellow. All my friends told me not to get yellow, but I'm buying it so I got what I wanted. I got 0.9% interest on...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

I just came back from the Nissan dealer and think I have changed my mind from the Civic to the Sentra SE-R. The SE-R costs just about the same amount of money. It's way faster, looks better, etc. From what I've heard and seen Nissans are pretty reliable cars. So I guess you were right...

Ever wanted to know the thoughts of car fans?

I was driving my Jeep last night and I pushed the clutch to change gears and I heard a pop. The next time I pressed the clutch it went down with no pressure at all. Then I pressed it a third time and it wouldn't go down and started to make a load noise. I had it towed to the shop where it...

    Getting In Shape

I think the best way to estimate a time is to go to a track and run six laps on it. A mile and a half is really easy. Junior year in high school I ran a mile in 4:44. But, I was in cross-country and track so I was running 30-40 miles per week 9 months a year. The best time on that sheet is...
