19" and 20" wheels also give you less sidewall and a much harsher ride, in addition to weighing more costing more and being more fragile. Going from the stock A3 suspension and 17" wheels on my wife's car to the Ti (lower) suspension and 18" wheels on mine was a significant change. I wouldn't be...

Could be grey, but it is certainly a tone compressed image, so not trustworthy for such things. I've never seen a matte PC, so I didn't know they existed.

Yup, the regular icons are too similar/confusing, so I just look for the blue arrow now. ;)

    question Which Tablets

Everyone else followed suit, there was no way to compete with Apple's form factor otherwise, and people that don't know don't care.

SSDs - State of the Product?

I'm now having 40GB SSDs fill just due to Win7 and Office2010 updates, even with all data kept elsewhere. 80 would be my minimum recommendation, with 160 giving you a nice quick place to work with images.

I like the matte black as well, I don't think there is any way to get that with a power coat finish, though. Edit: And that blue is really nice.

That is a significant drop. I would be seriously concerned about ride quality with that little suspension travel.

Do you intend to replace the 2 500GB drives with the two 1TB drives? Or simply use the new drives for more storage?

Wow, I had no idea that was even an issue. I thought that the wheels always hung from the lugs. Thanks for the info!

SSDs - State of the Product?

Yeah, I'm not into throwing that much money at this particular problem yet. I do have a good enough backup/failover strategy that it isn't really an issue.

SSDs - State of the Product?

No idea. That disk will now go into a high-end workstation and will likely never have an issue again. From Intel drives I expect more ;)

SSDs - State of the Product?

Have one coming now. I'll stick it in a DB VM and see how long it lasts. The last drive in that machine (480GB Corsair Force GT) kept disconnecting itself under really high IO.

Some shopping site, I've lost it now. Those Forgestar wheels do look awesome, and have some technical cojones behind them, but they are hard to find at the larger outlets (tire rack, etc).

My father (a programmer) just got a Das Keyboard Pro S (with lettering, quiet) and is marginally happy with it. It is still noisier than he likes, but you can't help that with a buckling spring keyboard. He also says that the transfer rates from the built-in USB hub suck.
