Most recent system for Windows NT4.

I need to assemble a computer that will run windows NT4, probably with the last service pack for it (SP6 IIRC). It's really been a while since I've worked on NT4 (9 or 10 years), so I don't remember much about it. I'm pretty sure I can find a socket 478 system with drivers for NT4 from my pile...

Merc means that internally, the DC connector isn't directly soldered on the motherboard, but on a detachable cable that connects to the motherboard. I've seen this and while you have to disassemble most of the unit anyway, it still is quite a bit easier to replace when the user will inevitable...

How the hell could it happen? I joined Facebook a few months ago to see the pictures of my nieces and nephew. I almost never login, unless someone in my family calls me and tell me they've posted new photos. When I viited the site this evening, one of the suggested "friends" they advertise...

In the past, I prefered Xubuntu when I had to use Linux, but I've had so many problems with it with the last two releases (9.4 and 9.10) that I've given up. I read others here using CentOS, so I tried it. I simply need to run the FAH client on it and CentOS 5.4 has done the job. The mouse...

My Linux box is back online after a complete reinstallation. I won't lose the password this time. I managed to install the ATI graphic driver (I didn't bother the first time), so I can use a higher resolution than 800x600. However, the mouse cursor is gone, which is awfully annoying...

What am I doing wrong - no SMP?

What kind of processor do you have? If you have an i7, you're not optimizing your production right now. Unless you need a lot of processing power for the other tasks you do with your computer, you should install Linux in a VM and assign at least six (virtual) cores for it, then run the 6.29...

There's only 13.7% more pixels on two 1280x1024 displays than there is on one 1920x1200 monitor. Since there are more vertical pixels on the 24", I could in fact see more text on the single 24" than on two large but shorter 19".
