Intel Coffee Lake Another Rush Job

Those are two unrelated sentences. :D Having more Intel options makes AMD even less interesting to me. All the new Intel/AMD products require Windows 10, so I'm not buying any until absolutely necessary.

Not at all. I authored numerous documents in the 90s, but fewer in recent years. The name and approval must accompany each document. In the old days wet signatures were used, whereas now almost all internal approvals are by e-signatures.

But the ingredients are similar to other diet colas. They should not be allowed to use the word sugar in the name, when it contains no sugar.

I received a different display module and mounted it into the external battery case with several levels of protection. The reading fluctuates when it reaches 27.0V. Western Digital He12, 12 TB and 14 TB HDDs

The idle is quieter, but the seeks seem louder in comparison, perhaps not as masked by the rotational noise. The seek pitch may be higher due to the helium. Overall I found the 10TB Seagate drives noticeably reduced the overall noise in my mid tower. I replaced 3x Seagate 6TB 7200 RPM and a...

NAS drives are fine as singles. I don't think that model uses helium, so it may need some decent airflow. Mobile drives seem to be slower and slower lately. I have a couple of 4TB mobile (2.5') drives, but mainly use 2TB. The Seagate 4GB mobiles tend to suffer from the dreaded shingles. Make...

SSDs - State of the Product?

The 80-400 VR-G is good on a DX body, but not so good with 36MP or more on FX. It is surely due for an update. Expansion units in general are not very economical. The 12-bay DX1215 makes more sense for the DS36xx series as they are basically the same chassis. A 5 to 8-bay expansion box would make more sense, but I really think the DS3018xs should have 8 bays.

Damn all those batteries are heavy. I think I strained an organ. :( The wires inside the UPS are about 1/2 inch too short for the connectors to easily slip on, making it a major PITA. I connected a couple of batteries from another UPS externally and it seems to work. I can get 8Ah batteries within a 15km radius. The software is abominable, so I'm thinking about putting some sort of simple external voltage display on the external battery case.
