Sorry if I was misleading, the 120mm fan PS is not from Antec, nor is it 550W. But it is pretty darn quiet.

    New car time ... confused

I drive about 10mi a week on washboard roads, to/from client sites out in the middle of nowhere. My Golf handles them quite well, the ride smoothes out at around 45mph. And I get about 40mpg on our "puny" US gallons :P

Heat sinks for new Intel Procs

Although they look cool, I can only imagine what kind of forces these are putting on the motherboard when stood on end and shaken (moved). I'm picturing a backing-plate sized hone and the whole deal on the floor of the chasis. I do like the design, though.

This monitor is already touch-screen ;) IIRC, 7" wide is about right...I'll take exact measurements again when I find myself in a car with a measuring tape. My ideal was not to have one that motored in and out, but rather that was fixed in the dash.

    Smoking toys and heart attacks...

Well, these systems will be very well taken care of. And they are far from the dusty floor, I'm bolting them to the wall above the 22" CRT monitor. There is a window in the case that shows off the goodies, and the CCFLs will light it up nice. Considering that there will be one of these machines...

    Cheetah dying or what?

I am still a fan of the Antec PSes, though I recently ordered of of those nifty "silent" ones with the single 120mm fan... I would be inclined to set up Motherboard Monitor 5 to log your voltages (High/Low) at a very high update rate, possibly also the interval log, just to see what's going on...

Ahh...home at last ;) Re: Software. I've always used Windows XP, though I'm sure a Linux-guru could make something better. Some people have voiced interest in this topic, and I've dabbled some with it, so I figured I'd start a gathering place for information/discussion. A friend had no credit, so he went out and got a credit card and a merchant account (for processing credit card orders). Handruin, I'm afraid not, that is for forwarding traffic though a computer (between NICs) to machines on the other side. These IPs are both out on the internet. Let me try to clarify: I currently have my webserver at IP address 65.254.452.12 on a DSL line in Salinas, CA. I am having a T-1...
