Here's a new one for you.... My system failed to POST I reset the BIOS and restarted POSTs on restart, prompts for BIOS values If I go into the BIOS at all, exiting will cause the system to fail to POST If I "continue with default settings" I can get into the system, but a restart will cause...

    SD or AXDA?

I agree with Merc about having a domain not being necessary for most small businesses. One of my clients just grew to ~125 office employees and just got their first (and second) DC to compliment their exchange server. My home server has been happily running off a EPIA-M motherboard w/1Ghz CPU...

    Boot from 3Ware 7500?

Yup, this shouldn't be a problem. I've done very similar things in the past. My main office computer has a 8506-4LP running a 2-drive RAID-1 and a 2-drive RAID-0; I boot to the RAID-0 of course... In the 3Ware configuration pagr you cam mark which array it should boot to. Also be carefull what...

    nforce2 Audio strangeness

None of my nForce-based systems have had this issue either; but I've phased out most of them already so I can't say for sure. I also only use the analog outs, so if it only affects the digital out I wouldn't know. All the boards are ASUS A7N8X-whatever (E/X/Deluxe/etc)

Perhaps I'm being a bit optimistic, but I'd love a windows-based app that could handle it. I just installed spamassasin on my exchange machine, so I can test my trials on myself. The message is massively formatted HTML.

    Poor cooling HDD selection...

So in my new favorite PC (a quiet one for my bedroom) I currently have a 1st gen WD360GD "Raptor" hard drive. The chasis is an Antec P160 all-aluminiun with aluminium drive rails and locates them right near the front large vent opening. However, there are no case fans in this chassis at all; and...

    SD or AXDA?

An interesting note on my DTR chips. I just built my new, very quiet, bedroom pc. I used what was supposed to be a 2700+ DTR chip @ 1.2v native. When I right-click on my computer and choose properties; the bottom section of the test displays as follows (I have a screenshot, but nowhere to host...

    SD or AXDA?

According to a thread linked to by a member here, the only heatsink able to manage the lower height of the mobile CPUs (no heat spreader) is the Thermaltake SLK-948U. I've had really good experiences with them in conjunction with Panaflo "L" fans on the 92mm size @ 5v. It still runs at under 100F.

    Greased Disk??

    Athlon64 3000 - who's taking the $215 plunge?

We went with Mushkin Blue PC-3200 and Athlon64 3000+ retails. I have tested these boards with 3 of these DIMMs (1.5GB total) and had to put the CAS @ the stock 2.5 to be stable. With only a single DIMM 2.0 was very possible. I ran a 3200+ for a while on mine without issue.
