    Microsoft VPN stuff?

I love smoothwalls; but in this instance they think they want a Microsoft VPN solution. Therefore I need to at least prove my competence at that before explaining why a smoothie is better. So L2TP is out, will PPTP work better?

    Favorite motherboard with onboard video?

Finally got around to updating the BIOS on this thing. It has been rock-solid, so this was my first chance to crack the machine (adding more optical drives). As a matter of fact, they have a new BIOS dated 4/27/2006 for those using this hardware.

[News] Seagate Readies 750GB Hard Drives

300GB and 320GB? What the hell? The difference in price couldn't be more than a few bucks at the retail level (those are likely $80-$90 drives). It can't possibly justify the added complexity of the supply chain. Perhaps one is a 8MB and the other a 16MB cache?

Yay! A new hard drive that is actually faster in a significant way! Now, where's the SATA version? Seagate doesn't make SCSI controlers or cables, so just put on a cheaper interface and charge the same amount.

My complaints aren't about Dell hardware, it really isn't that bad. My complaint is about Dell users; these are people that for the most part really aren't smart enough to own a computer.
